Individuals and attorneys scheduled to appear in Madison County Circuit Court can now sign up to receive text message or email reminders about upcoming appearance dates.
An individual would receive four notifications via text message/email starting one week before a scheduled court time for anyone enrolled in the new service. The Illinois Supreme Court and Madison County Administrative Order 2022-M-13 has authorized the use of text messages as a reminder to patrons of the court system.
To enroll in the program, visit the circuit clerk's website and fill out the form provided with the case number, email address, and cell phone number where you would like to receive the notifications.

Disclaimer Notice:
This is an optional service provided as a courtesy and is not a legal notice.
It is not the responsibility of the Court to ensure the text message is received. It remains the defendant's/litigant's sole responsibility to keep track of court dates and times and to appear at all hearings set by the court.
If you decide to opt-out of text reminders, you may respond at any time with any of the following: Stop, Cancel, Quit, End, or Unsubscribe.
Cancelling text messages does not cancel a court date. You must contact your attorney or file a motion with the Court.
Message and/or data rates may apply.
